The homeowner requested "an over the top backyard, with 'wow' factor," and our design team created an entertainer's paradise with tropical charm. The client envisioned a space for hosting lavish gatherings while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere, where the family could swim and watch movies, enjoy BBQ dining, and unwind.
The original pool received afternoon shade, reducing its appeal, and the outdoor kitchen was inefficiently designed. The redesigned space includes an outdoor sauna, dual firepits, a 14' x 10' projector screen, and a comprehensive outdoor kitchen featuring a sink, refrigerator, BBQ, warming drawers, and ice maker. The landscape incorporates hidden televisions, dimmable bistro lighting, a private shower, a custom rock waterfall and grotto, and a beach entry pool with an expansive Baja shelf. Multiple seating zones accommodate family gatherings.
Notable details include a projector concealed within rockwork, a waterfall descending spa-facing steps, a firepit carved into rock within the dining area, and a sunken sandpit fire feature. Additional amenities include a children's rock area, an LED-lit grotto, gas tiki torches, a synthetic turf dog run, and tropical plantings integrated throughout.
